What Arsenal fans did to Josh Kroenke and Declan Rice as Mikel Arteta grabs Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal got their preseason tour of the United States off to a superb start with a 5-0 victory over the MLS All-Stars. The Gunners started sluggishly but found themselves in front when Gabriel Jesus’ sublime chip deceived Roman Burki.

The All-Stars began to feel their way back into things and went close via Riqui Puig and Christian Benteke. However, it was Arsenal who ten doublted their lead when Leandro Trossard fired in a sublime effort from the edge of the box.

The second half was far more routine as Jorginho had them 3-0 up inside 60 seconds with a penalty. Gabriel Martinelli then added a fourth before Kai Havertz rounded the scoring off with his first goal for the Gunners. Here football.london takes a look back on some of the moments you may have missed from the match.

Josh Kroenke arrived in Washington D.C. to meet the players ahead of this match on Tuesday and he has been heavily involved in bringing Arsenal into this match. As a result he was brought out ahead of the game to shake hands with both sets of players.

The announcement of his name was greeted with rapturous applause by the fans at Audi Field. Such a reception would have been unimaginable two and a half years ago at the height of the European Super League fiasco but KSE have well and truly won the fanbase over.

It wasn’t the best of starts for Arsenal in possession. They may have fired themselves into a 2-0 goal lead before the half-hour mark but Mikel Arteta was still not pleased.

Playing from the back in particular was an issue for the Spaniard. He grabbed goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for a chat while the referee was booking an All-Stars player for a foul on Bukayo Saka and was gesturing in a away that seemed to imply he wanted quicker play. Things did improve after, so maybe it did the trick.
