WELCOME BACK WARRIOR! Mikel Arteta issues Gabriel Jesus injury update as Edu faces £53.1m decision

Gabriel Jesus injury update
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has delivered an update on Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners have been without the Brazil international since December after he underwent knee surgery as a result of sustaining medial ligament damage during the World Cup group stage fixture against Cameroon. However, it would appear that a return to action isn’t too far away.
The 25-year-old has been back at London Colney to step up his rehabilitation following some time in Brazil and Arteta has revealed the next step for last summer’s £45m signing from Manchester City.
Martin Zubimendi transfer decision
Arsenal are still in search of a new midfielder in the summer transfer window despite acquiring Jorginho on January deadline day.
Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo seem to be Mikel Arteta’s main targets but potential alternatives are Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi and Leicester’s Youri Tielemans.
The Gunners were in interested in Zubimendi in the winter window but Sociedad were adamant he was not for sale, as football.london understands. However, that stance could change at the end of the season.
Moussa Diaby boost
Arsenal could reignite their interest in Moussa Diaby again ahead of the summer window with his future at Bayer Leverkusen in doubt.
The Gunners initially targeted the winger last summer before reviving that initial interest in the January transfer window after their primary target Mykhailo Mudryk joined Chelsea.
Sitting 12 points off the Champions League qualification places in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen have endured a torrid domestic season which could see a lot of changes occur in the summer.
