SUMMER TRANSFER: Arsenal in the battle to sign 23-year-old French centre-back

Evan Ndicka could have the possibility to join the PL. His agent has offered Arsenal and Tottenham the opportunity to add the 23-year-old centre-back on a free transfer. The Gunners are on a rollercoaster ride as the PL table toppers have shown to restraints so far.
Arsenal have entered the new year as the most coveted side in the top flight. But the Spanish manager feels work still needs to be done. They left it pretty late to sign any reinforcements in the winter last campaign. And the result was pretty evident as they lost the top four race to their North London rival Tottenham.
Antonio Conte’s side have seen ups and downs since the start of the campaign. And their recent downfall helped Man United to leapfrog Tottenham from the fourth position.
With Lenglet set to return to Barcelona following the completion of his loan period, there will be room for a defender as the manager does not seem to rate Sanchez pretty highly. The French centre-back has been offered fresh terms by Frankfurt and the footballer might be ready to renew his stay in Germany.
It could be a massive blow for both Arsenal and Tottenham, as losing the Frenchman would mean they have to start their process from the scratch once again. Meanwhile, any transfer could be complicated by the centre-back’s agents’ financial demands. Apparently, they are seeking a €15m sign-on fee with wages of €7m for five years.
