Here is your morning Arsenal digest on Friday, April 14.

Balogun interest

Everton are one of the clubs interested in signing Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun this summer, according to 90min.

Balogun has enjoyed a stellar campaign on loan with Ligue 1 outfit Reims, netting 19 league goals – a tally that reads even more impressive when you consider he is still just 21 years old.

However, the Gunners are already stacked in attack, employing the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard as centre-forward options.

Now, it is claimed that a number of Premier League teams are keen on the Hale End academy graduate, including the likes of Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Midfield battle with Liverpool

Liverpool missing out on signing Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham could spell bad news for Arsenal during this summer’s transfer window.

It is widely reported that the Reds have given up on their pursuit of Bellingham, who is deemed to be too expensive to sign this summer. According to the Mirror, this has resulted in Jurgen Klopp turning his attention to other midfielders in the form of Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and West Ham United captain Declan Rice.

The Gunners attempted to sign Caicedo during the January window whilst football.london understands that Rice is the north London club’s priority for the summer.

Nelson admission

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has claimed that this is the first season that he feels part of the club’s DNA.

Speaking on the club’s Colney Carpool YouTube channel, he said: “I moved up when I was about 15, I moved up here a year earlier than everyone else. So of course, at the start it was a bit hard for me to get my bearings that literally, I’m actually going to the Arsenal first-team. I’m gassed.

“Last season I was on loan. I’ve come back and this is one of the first times where I really feel a part of this Arsenal DNA properly. I can feel it.”
