Arsenal will make an approach in the summer to sign Crystal Palace attacker Michael Olise. The 21-year-old winger is on the radar of many teams, but the Eagles will work hard to keep him at Selhurst Park. U21 France international has enhanced his reputation as an emerging star by scoring an impressive late free-kick against Man United.

The goal rescued a point for the Eagles and dealt a major blow to Man United’s title ambitions. The French winger just joined the Eagles 18 months ago from Reading and steadily came into the first-team scene under Patrick Vieira. The French manager has a major role in his development, as Olise is completely trusted by his coach.

When Michael arrived from Reading, a reported release clause in his deal would have let teams sign the attacker for £35m. The Eagles have since negotiated with the Frenchman to remove the said clause and will be able to decide his future on their terms.

Arsenal are in the market for a top-rated wide attacker. Michael can play on the right wing and as a playmaker. Patrick Vieira has deployed him on the wide right or as a right-sided midfielder.

Arteta would like to explore more with the Frenchman, and the Gunners could make an approach in the summer. The ball is in Crystal Palace’s court about Olise’s future. Moving to a big club, a potential Premier League winner and staying in London could appeal to Olise.
