Martinelli conrfirms attacker to sign with Arsenal – Arteta speaks on exit rumours – £50M star addresses Gunners talk
ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta has dismissed reports linking him with the Real Madrid job.
Mikel Arteta took over an Arsenal side that were struggling to play exciting football and challenge for the Champions League – but he has turned them into one of the most exciting teams in Europe.
Arsenal are sitting top of the Premier League and looking increasingly likely to win that League title for the first time since 2004 – but there has been speculation surrounding his future at the club
According Remontada Blanca, Carlo Ancelotti is coming under increasing pressure at the Bernabeu with Real Madrid adding options to replace the experienced Italian manager.
The report suggests the La Liga club could move for Arteta following his success with the Gunners so far this season – However, speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League clash with Sporting, the Spaniard quashed the speculation, stating his commitment to the Gunners.
He said: “It’s things that managers or players can’t control what is written.
“What I can tell is that I’m fully focused on what I’m doing here and extremely proud and grateful to do what I’m doing in this football club. That’s it.”
With what the Spaniard have achieved at Arsenal over the past few seasons is amazing and it is easy to see why so many have tipped him to become the next big boss in the game.
It is also easy to see why Madrid really want him – but his long-term plans are with ARSENAL – so unless they sack him- he is going nowhere and the Gunners fans can expect to see him in that dugout for a very long-time.
Caicedo speaks out
In-demand ARSENAL target Moises Caicedo is hoping his performances ensure people ‘keep speaking’ about him.
After a very confident start to the new season with Brighton – Caicedo has become one of the most talked about midfielders in the Premier League and a man that the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in.
But Caicedo is keeping his feet on the ground and despite some tension during the January window, he insists he is happy at Brighton and not thinking about a move elsewhere.
Speaking about the speculation that has surrounded him to Sky Sports on Wednesday, he said: ‘People are gonna speak about me, other players as well!
‘Brighton have a lot of good players, a lot of quality, a lot of intelligent players.
‘I’m happy for that, people speaking about me. That’s why I train well every day, to show my best football as well so people keep speaking about me.’
In a separate interview with Brighton’s website, Caicedo revealed that it was an easy decision to pen fresh terms: ‘It wasn’t a hard decision.
‘If it had been a hard decision, I wouldn’t have signed. I’m happy with everything at the club and that’s why I signed.
‘I’m focused here on Brighton, the club which opened the doors. I am very happy to be here and really pleased [with the new contract].
‘I don’t even think about the speculation. I am focused on Brighton and doing things well here. I am very happy here with my colleagues, with all the club and I will keep giving 100% for this club.’
Caicedo is a quality player that is ready for that next step in his career – so it will be interesting to see just where he ends up as there are some big clubs interested with a move for the man.
Martinelli on Saka future
Gabriel Martinelli has confidently predicted Bukayo Saka will commit his future to ARSENAL and sign a new contract.
Despite being one of the most exciting talents at the club and a player that has a very bright future in the game, there is a growing feeling that Arsenal may be unable to keep hold of Saka in the coming window.
The young mans contract is running down and with talks over a new deal not going as the club would like, it has been suggested that Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona could make a move at the end of the season.
Arsenal are hopeful that Saka as well as William Saliba will follow suit in the coming months and Martinelli is in no doubt the England international will put pen to paper.

‘I will be happy because he is a very, very good player, one of the best young players in the world,’ he said ahead of the Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon.
‘He is at his house, you know. Arsenal is his home and for sure he is happy. And we will be happy as well if he stays and signs a new deal.’
Saka is a brilliantly gifted player that ARSENAL dont want to lose, so even though they may keen hold of the player in the summer window, his ambition is to play at the very top of the game and win trophies.
So the news that he will probably be agreeing a new contract with the club is massive – as he is certainly a player that the club do not want to lose and a man that has a big future in the game.
Fans cannot wait to see him agree a new contract and cannot wait for that announcement to come
