GOOD NEWS: Arsenal receives double injury boost ahead of Manchester City Clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Granit Xhaka is a “doubt” for the potential title decider against Manchester City, while William Saliba has been ruled out.
Xhaka was not in the matchday squad for the 3-3 draw against Southampton on Friday night due to illness, and he has still not returned to training. Arteta says he hopes that the Swiss international will be back on the training pitch today (Tuesday):

“Xhaka is hopefully able to train today, still a doubt. The rest are ok.”
Arteta has also confirmed that Saliba has not managed to recover full fitness in time for the trip to Manchester. The Frenchman has been struggling with a back injury for six weeks and there have been no signs of improvement.
There are some reports that the centre-back could be ruled out for the rest of the season but Arteta had a slightly more positive outlook. While Saliba won’t make his comeback against City or versus Chelsea next Tuesday, the club are still hoping he could feature in the next couple of weeks.
