on

Arsenal suffered a devastating injury blow during their 1-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park. Gabriel Martinelli had to be withdrawn with a hamstring issue moments after he had a goal ruled out following a VAR review.

The Brazil international was replaced by Leandro Trossard – with the Belgian forward scoring the decisive goal later in the game. Martinelli did appear on the bench after heading down the tunnel to receive further treatment – but the severity of his injury is still unknown.

Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber and Mohammed Elneny all remain unavailable with injury problems. With all of that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Gunners injury news ahead of their trip to Merseyside this afternoon.

What Arteta has said: “Huge blow. Especially for him after just joining the club. To have the injury he has is a huge blow. These things happen, unfortunately, and we have to move on.”
