DEAL ON: Nottingham Forest submit bid for Gunners star amid David Raya transfer offer

Turner offer
Nottingham Forest have submitted an offer for Arsenal second-choice goalkeeper Matt Turner, as per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on Twitter, Romano said: “EXCL: Nottingham Forest submitted an official bid for Matt Turner. Understand the proposal has been made for permanent transfer, talks advancing with Arsenal.
“Crucial step in goalkeepers domino as #AFC keep negotiating with Brentford for David Raya, deal getting closer.”
Raya bid
Arsenal’s opening offer for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is expected to be turned down, according to the Athletic.
The Gunners submitted a bid worth an initial £20million, as well as an additional £3million in add-ons but that falls below the Bees’ valuation of the player. Raya is now into the final 11 months of his contract in west London and it is claimed that both clubs want the deal to get done.

Zinchenko claim
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has claimed that summer signing Jurrien Timber may actually be better at performing as an inverted full-back in Mikel Arteta’s system.
When asked about Timber playing in his position, Zinchenko told the official Arsenal programme, via Arseblog: “Maybe he is, but maybe better than me. I’m sure he is 100 per cent going to show us what he can do, and will really help us.
“I do know about him because I watched him and followed the way he played at Ajax. Also, I played against him for the national team so I know about him as a player, what amazing qualities he has, and now I know him off the pitch.
“He’s a great guy, another incredible signing for Arsenal who will help us a lot.”
