DEADLINE MOVE: Arsenal Star Man Set To Leave The Emirates Amid Caicedo Transfer Boost

Tierney interest

Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, according to Italian outlet Tuttomercato. The report claims that the Nerazzuri are keen on both the Scottish international and out-of-favour Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, with Juventus also said to be monitoring the former.

Tierney has struggled for game time recently, falling behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order. Zinchenko arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Manchester City last summer and he has been vital this term, operating as an inverted fullback to assist holding midfielder Thomas Partey in the build-up phase.

Caicedo boost

Arsenal may have received a potential boost in their pursuit of Brighton star Moises Caicedo. The Seagulls have completed the signing of AIK midfielder Yasin Ayari. Ayari will arrive at the Amex Stadium for €6 million (£5.2 million) and will undergo his medical next week.

This business could be seen as a potential replacement for Caicedo, who operates in a similar position to the young Swede. Still, the Gunners’ chances of signing the Ecuadorian appear slim considering how little time is left before this evening’s deadline.

Fresneda not coming

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Real Valladolid fullback Ivan Fresneda throughout the January window, although the player himself assured Valladolid supporters that he will not be on the move.

After stopping to sign some shirts for some fans, the 18-year-old said, as per The Metro: “No, I’m not leaving, calm down.”

Speaking about Fresneda’s future on Monday, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said: “Understand Iván Fresneda will stay at Valladolid in January unless there are twists in the final hours.
