Cody Gakpo told to make Man Utd transfer choice as Arsenal eye ‘low offer’ for Barcelona star

Arsenal prepare ‘low offer’ for Memphis Depay
Following the injury to Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal may ramp up their transfer pursuit of Depay with the knowledge he could be available in January without Edu needing to part ways with significant funds.
Tutto Juve report that the Netherlands international is the striker that “fits best” since his profile is similar to the Brazilian, and he has “a lot of mobility” and “great sense” to score goals.
Cody Gakpo told to complete Man Utd transfer
Cody Gakpo has once again been told that Arsenal will be his best transfer destination as opposed to Manchester United with the PSV star looking likely to secure a January exit.
Speaking to Dutch outlet Soccer News, Babel said: “At United, the atmosphere is different, a bit tense and just… different, and that could influence him.
“I’m just an outsider, of course, but I don’t know if United would be the right team for Cody Gakpo,” he said, via Sport Witness.
“I’d rather think of a team like Arsenal then – or maybe even Liverpool. But I think Arsenal suits his style of play best. All young footballers together, no real star player and a good, young coach who has been a footballer himself.
“But again: of course, I am ‘only’ an outsider, so I judge only by what I see and my own experience in the Premier League. Players have to decide for themselves what they do, but Arsenal would suit him.”
Arsenal handed Joao Felix transfer boost
Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix seems destined for a move away from the Spanish capital with plenty of talk occurring around his future with Chelsea and Arsenal both interested.
Earlier this year football.london reported that the Gunners were interested in signing the Portugal international, while Chelsea could also renew interest having chased to sign Felix from Benfica back in 2019 before he joined Atletico and comments from CEO, Gil Marín, has given both clubs great optimism about securing a deal.
Their report quotes Sport1 journalist Karry Hau who debunks talk of Bayern’s interest in Felix saying: “Bayern are no longer interested in Joao Felix, contrary to recent reports in Spain. The Portuguese striker was an option for Bayern last summer, but Félix is no longer an issue at Bayern.”
The German champions being ruled out of the race for Felix will undoubtedly boost the chances of Arsenal or Chelsea signing them with both clubs looking to recruit in the forward department in the January transfer window.
