“Chelsea is a Big Club” – Mudryk finally speaks on how he became a Chelsea player not Arsenal

The wish and preference of Mykhaylo Mudryk has always been to make a move to Arsenal until his final few hours before his exit from Shakhtar Donetsk.
He was the top target for the North London outfit but the required €100 million could not be met, hence Chelsea came from behind and hijacked the deal.
Mudryk has now been unveiled as a Chelsea player before the fan on Sunday afternoon.
However, reacting to his move, he said, “I’m so happy to sign for Chelsea. This is a huge club, Premier League is [a] fantastic league and it’s a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career.
“I’m excited to meet my teammates and I’m looking forward to working under Graham Potter,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly said the winger has a bright future and the club needed to invest in him.
Mudryk, 22, officially signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea on Sunday.
Boehly said Chelsea signed the Ukrainian because the winger will be a terrific addition to Graham Potter’s squad both now and in the years to come.
Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, co-controlling owner, was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying: “We are delighted to welcome Mykhailo to Chelsea. He’s a hugely exciting talent who we believe will be a terrific addition to our squad both now and in the years to come.
“He will add further depth to our attack and we know he’ll get a very warm welcome to London.”
