Despite concerns being voiced, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, claims the club has no need to be troubled by Financial Fair Play.

Remember that Arsenal spent the most money in the EPL last summer, spending more than £140 million to sign six first-team players. They have spent approximately £110 million so far this season and are still anticipated to spend more before the window closes.

According to The Media, UEFA has placed the north London club on its Financial Fair Play blacklist as a result of this type of expenditure and the lack of a lot of transfer payments for departing players.

However, Arteta said his side did not breach any rules, claiming that the club’s business during the remainder of the window won’t be impacted by any FFP worries.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash against Fulham, the Spaniard said: “We are compliant and have heard nothing so I don’t know what that is.”

The former Manchester City assistant coach was then asked if it would have any bearing on potential incoming, to which he replied: “No, I think the club has been very disciplined all the time and with a very clear vision of how we want to do things, the limitations we have and how we have to deal with things. In that case, nothing changes.”
