BREAKING: ASENSIO HANDS ARSENAL TRANSFER REMINDER

Arsenal and Arteta were looking for a solution to the winger problem in the summer and after the pursuit of Pedro Neto failed, Asensio was offered to the Gunners.
However, a deal could not be agreed upon before the window came to a close. Summer signing Marquinhos, after a wonderful debut against FC Zurich, was tipped to fill the void but he has barely played since then.
Arsenal were unable to bring in a winger in the summer transfer window, despite the clear need to strengthen that department.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have carried the bulk of the work on the wings, and the return of Reiss Nelson to action has helped the side get more reinforcement.
Asensio, who stayed back at Real Madrid after that deal broke down, is currently featuring for Spain at the World Cup in Qatar, where the winger has continued to impress with his excellent performances.
The Spanish winger sent Edu a reminder of why Arsenal should look at his way again in the coming window with his superb displays.
As reported by Calciomercato, the Spaniard’s agent Jorge Mendes is attempting to get Asensio’s name out there ahead of a potential January move.
His current deal at Madrid ends in 2023 and Mendes is hoping to find him a new home before next summer where he could be available for free.
This claim was supported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano in the summer transfer window via Wettfreunde: “Asensio has been offered by his agent to many important English clubs including Arsenal, Man United in the last two weeks.”
Asensio has experience and the ability to thrive under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. The Spaniard’s versatility could also be a key factor in Edu in deciding to pursue a deal in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are light in the wing areas and Asensio could be a solution to that. Considering he has less than eight months before the end of his contract, he should arrive on a cheap.
