Arteta Praises Arsenal Star Man After Win At Leicester – Not Saka

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with the performance of Leandro Trossard during the 1-0 Premier League win over Leicester City.

The north London giants registered back-to-back triumphs in the top-flight but they had to work hard for the result at the King Power Stadium.

While the Gunners had plenty of shots on goal, they lacked the cutting edge in the box. Gabriel Martinelli eventually bagged the winning strike.

The goal was created by Trossard with a brilliant nutmeg assist and speaking after the game, Arteta was full of praise for the Belgium international.

He told Arsenal.com: “He did really well. I think he was really good, I think he got involved in many situations that could have ended up in many more big chances.”

“He was involved in the goal of Gabi, the pass that he played to him, he’s so good in small spaces, tight spaces, with his creativity to open people up and I’m really happy with him.”

Trossard played in the false nine role against the Foxes earlier today and he was unlucky to be denied the opening goal in the first half.

The Belgian scored with a stunning curler from the edge of the box, but it was chalked off by VAR for a foul from Ben White.

Despite this, he kept his head up and performed brilliantly. His excellent through ball for Martinelli made the big difference.
