Arsene Wenger Claims There Are Three Reasons Why Arsenal Can Go All The Way And Win The Title This Season

Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger says he is “very happy” with the three signings that the Gunners have made so far this summer.
The Gunners have splashed out over £200m on Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz but Wenger feels it will be worth it as he is backing his former club to lift the Premier League this campaign:
“I feel that Mikel [Arteta] is doing well, making the right decisions, and having an organised team who, for me, can now challenge for the championship. We did it last year, let’s get over the line this year. I’m confident because last year with eight games to go, I always felt we would do it. We invested again a lot this year and strengthened the squad well, so overall I’m very happy with the three signings. We have all the tools to do well and to challenge for the championship.”
Wenger is very confident about the team’s title chances but their prospects don’t only depend on squad depth but also on maintaining their consistency from last season.
Their defence was rock solid until the final couple of months of the campaign, and it will be hoped that the likes of Timber and Rice can make the difference so they are able to sustain their form for nine months.
Arsenal could have more signings before the season kicks off
While Wenger says he is already pleased with the players that the Gunners’ have brought in this summer, it seems the London club have not completely finished their transfer business.
Talks over signing David Raya from Brentford are said to be underway, while there are reports that Arteta wants to bring in a winger and, potentially, another midfielder before the window closes. From the sound of things, Arsenal are leaving no stone unturned to make sure they are title contenders once again.
