Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Leading race for Spanish winger, Battle for Ivorian attacker, Danish midfielder on the radar

Arsenal held negotiations with 19-year-old La Liga attacker
Arsenal have already submitted a £33m bid for Yeremy Pino, with Villarreal reportedly considering the offer. The London giants have been linked with the 19-year-old attacker in the last week, with the winger also a target for Liverpool.
Spain international has seen his stock rise, with many big teams keeping tabs on his development at Villarreal. The Spanish winger has been a regular under Unai Emery, with the 2021/22 campaign being his most prolific, yielding six goals and four assists in 31 La Liga matches.
The Yellow Submarine have ideas in the transfer market and wish to bring in a few footballers to bolster the squad. Unai Emery understands that footballer sales might be necessary to accelerate their recruitment and have a few footballers they are ready to offload.
Pino was not part of the list consisting Pau Torres, Pervis Estupinan and Arnaut Danjuma. However, Yeremy is attracting considerable interest instead, particularly from the PL, with Arsenal and Liverpool keen on signing him.
Recent reports claimed that the Gunners were willing to shell out a considerable sum to add the Spaniard, but it looks they have made a £33m bid, which La Liga giants are considering now.
According to the report, there is a feeling that the Spanish club could accept the proposal, for it comes closer to their asking price. Despite being protected by a sizable release clause in Pino’s deal, the Yellow Submarine are aware that is not his actual market value.
Arsenal enter the battle to sign No.11 Premier League forward
Arsenal have not given up on signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, and they are looking to bring him to the Emirates Stadium before the summer window slams shut.
Ivory Coast international was linked with a move to Arsenal back in 2019, and the Gunners almost signed him before they decided to splash out a club-record £72m on Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe. However, Nicolas Pepe has had a torrid time in the PL, and he joined Nice on a loan transfer.
The Spanish boss needs to bring in more quality and depth in the wide areas, and Wilfried could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Gunners. Zaha has been a key player for the club over the last few campaigns, and he knows the PL well.
The 29-year-old forward could make an immediate impact at Arsenal if the Gunners manage to pull off his signing. The Gunners will be able to offer the Ivorian European football this campaign, which is likely to tempt him. Arsenal have started the campaign impressively, and they will hope to qualify for the UCL next campaign.
A footballer of the Ivorian attacker’s calibre deserves to play in the premier European tournament, and he will not be able to achieve those ambitions at Selhurst Park. The African winger scored 15 goals and picked up two assists across all tournaments for the Eagles last campaign.
Arsenal interested in signing 21-year-old Premiership midfielder
Arsenal are among many teams interested in signing midfielder Matt O’Riley from Celtic. The Hoops are in the UCL group stage, which is a tournament U21 Denmark international would not be playing in if he moved to the London giants.
Arsenal could need to battle domestic rivals Liverpool and Man United for the signing of O’Riley. The report says that their interest is not that advanced but a bid of £15m could convince the Scottish giants to sell this summer.
The Gunners could do with a new midfielder to top off their summer transfer business so far, with Youri Tielemans a long-term target. It looks like Leicester City have not been easy to do business with as might have been expected given Belgium international has one year left on his deal.
Interestingly, Leicester City are named in the report as a club who are as likely as anyone to bid for Matt before the deadline. That could leave the Gunners open to bid for Youri Tielemans although it seems there is plenty of work to do on both deals yet.
Simon Donnelly said: “Credit to O’Riley – he’s had a fantastic start to his career at Celtic. I think he’s a very good footballer, very similar to Rogic. So a great bit of recruitment and a good headache for Ange to have.”
