Arsenal transfer news: Folarin Balogun exit edges closer as Jose Mourinho offered Gunners star

Italy battle
Folarin Balogun’s future at Arsenal has taken another twist. Reports in Italy in the past week have claimed that Inter Milan were preparing a season-long loan move for the striker, paying an initial €5miliion (£4.2million) with a mandatory €35million (£29.9million) fee included as part of the deal.
Now, the Independent are reporting that Inter’s fierce rivals AC Milan have reinstated their interest with Balogun and will go head-to-head with the Nerazzurri to land the forward.
Monaco and RB Leipzig are also keen on the United States international, though Inter are seen as favourites.
The report goes on to suggest that Arsenal are looking to raise close to £70million through the sales of Balogun and Kieran Tierney.
Torres silences rumours
Barcelona star Ferran Torres has responded to rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal this summer. According to reports, Barcelona are already open to offers for the Spain international.
Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle have all been credited with interest in Torres, with Barcelona said to be open to a potential loan move. But despite Barcelona’s stance, Torres has reiterated his ambitions of staying put with the Blaugrana and fight for his place next season.
“It’s very important for a striker to start scoring, to get off to a good start. I’m going to fight for a place in the team. And then it is up to the coach to decide (my future),” Torres tells Sport.
“The names (linked with moves away) are provided by journalists. I have a contract here. I’m going to stay. I don’t care what anyone says about me.
“I’m going to work as hard as anyone else.”
Lokonga offered
Albert Sambi Lokonga has been offered to AS Roma by his representatives as his Arsenal future continues to be in doubt.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder’s representatives have approached Jose Mourinho’s side over the possibility of a move this summer.
The Italian outfit are targeting Renato Sanches from PSG, meaning they may decide against signing Lokonga.
