Arsenal renewed interest in €25m-rated South American forward

Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs tracking Porto winger Pepe in the winter window. The 25-year-old forward will be an expensive acquisition considering there’s a €75m release clause in his deal that is valid until 2027.
Arsenal and Chelsea could stay active in the winter transfer window, for both teams need quality signings to continue their campaign. The London giants are currently leading the charts in the PL, while Chelsea have fallen to the eighth position.
Arteta has built a good squad from the last few transfer windows, and their starting eleven looks solid. But the Gunners lack quality in depth and the manager could use the winter transfer window to add and make the team stronger for the second part of the campaign.
They need footballers that can elevate the quality of their squad and bring in stars that can change matches with their presence. Mudryk is Arsenal’s prime target, but the Ukrainian forward is set to cost a lot of money.
They are also keen on Porto star Pepe, the Brazilian attacker. The South American winger has come to the fore since the departure of Luis Diaz last January. Since the Colombian forward’s exit, the Brazilian got tasked with much more responsibility to influence play in the final third.
The €75m-rated Brazilian forward has done enough to grab the attention of Arsenal and Chelsea. When Pepe signed a new deal recently, Porto decided to improve his release clause, which now stands at €75m.
