ARSENAL NEWS LIVE: World Class Maestro Confirms Arsenal Deal, Shock Ronaldo Transfer, Emirate Stadium Update

The Gunners head into the World Cup break top of the Premier League for Christmas after their 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, as club captain Martin Odegaard led his side to move five points clear of Manchester City. The league’s bottom side never really looked like causing any damage to the outcome with Aaron Ramsdale keeping his seventh league clean sheet of the season.

Yesterday, the club announced their pariticaption in the Dubai Super Cup where they’ll face Alexandre Lacazette’s Lyon on December 8 and Italian champions AC Milan five days later. Until then, the transfer rumour mill is expected to supply more names linked with a move to north London.

Technical director Edu has started preparations for the January transfer window, with plenty of names being linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Barcelona have entered the race for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans whilst Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk has revealed he monitors the Gunners results in an interview with Oleksandr Zinchenko’s wife on YouTube.

With that all in mind, football.london will be bringing you all the latest injury news, as well as any transfer gossip surrounding the club, as it happens, so make sure to stay tuned throughout the day.

Arsenal have confirmed they are launching new artwork on the front of the Emirates Stadium following ‘extensive consultations’ with supporters as part of a number of changes planned.

A statement on the official club website read: “Since April, we’ve enjoyed extensive consultations with a broad and diverse range of supporters on the new artwork that will adorn the Emirates Stadium exterior.

“We started with a blank piece of paper and the sole intention of working with our community to create art that would express what Arsenal means in 2023.

“With the commitment, support and input of the Arsenal family, we’re now very close to finalising eight pieces of art that are true to who we are, what we are, and who we represent as a club.

“We’re excited to launch the new artwork in January and many supporters may have noticed that, as the World Cup brings a break in our men’s fixtures, we’ve already started to remove the existing art. While this means the stadium will be ‘bare’ for a few weeks, we hope you’ll agree it will be worth the wait! We look forward to sharing more details soon.”

Abraham £70m hijack

AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham is a name that has previously been linked to the Gunners after his brilliant maiden campaign in Italy. The England international scored 27 goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side after leaving Chelsea to help them lift their first trophy in 14 years in the Europa Conference League.

However, after scoring only four goals in 20 appearances this season, Abraham could now be on the move. That’s according to Italian outlet II Messaggero, who claim Roma could be prepared to sell the striker as early as the winter window.

It’s claimed the Gunners remain keen on bringing the striker back to London after he scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea. However, if Arteta authorises the deal, they face a difficult situation. Chelsea’s £67million buy-back option becomes active in the summer and with the signing of ex-Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang not going to plan yet, it could be a viable option for Todd Boehly at the end of the season.

Despite the link to Abraham, it’s unclear whether Arteta will want to add another No.9 to his roster. Gabriel Jesus has adapted to life in the capital very well, despite his recent drought in front of goal, while Eddie Nketiah offers something different off the bench. However, as expected with Jesus’ lack of goals, a new striker could be seen as the next step to boost the Gunners’ chance of being successful this season.
