Arsenal news: Lionel Messi’s role in Edu transfer plans as Arteta gives honest title verdict

Lionel Messi role in Arsenal transfer plan
Lionel Messi’s impending decision this summer could end up playing a surprising role in Arsenal’s transfer plans ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The World Cup winner looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain and return to Barcelona but the financial issues Spanish giants could stop that from happening.
A number of attackers at Camp Nou could therefore be placed up for sale, a decision which Arsenal may take advantage of.
Arteta gives honest title verdict
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has taken the blame for his side’s end-of-season collapse in the Premier League title race.
After losing 3-0 to Brighton on Sunday, Arteta made it no secret of his disappointment before insisting that he felt responsible for letting the fans down.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Spaniard said: “I hate the feeling of letting people down when they’re really expecting something.”
Wright sends warning to Arsenal
Ian Wright has made a bold prediction for next season’s Premier League campaign which will be a concern to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
Manchester City now look to have one hand on the title having been pushed by the Gunners until the final weeks of the campaign.
Challenging seasons for Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have resulted in it being a straight shoot-out between City and Arsenal but Wright does not expect that to happen again in the 2023/24 campaign.
