Arsenal news: Leandro Trossard frustration revealed as Ivan Toney transfer eyed

Trossard frustration
All-time Premier League top goalscorer Alan Shearer has revealed that Leandro Trossard voiced his frustrations over playing time after Arsenal defeated Everton 1-0 on Sunday afternoon, with the Belgian international scoring off the bench. Speaking about the Gunners’ selection dilemmas, Shearer told The Rest Is Football Podcast: “Well that’s the problem managers have got with squads the size that they are nowadays.
“We interviewed Trossard after the game yesterday at Arsenal and I asked him that question because you can tell that he’s not happy. Do you have to accept now as a footballer that in a big team that you’re going to be rotated?
“You might play on a Saturday and then be rested the next weekend. I would have hated that, hated it beyond belief to be left out.”
Toney move
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all likely to be in the mix to sign Brentford frontman Ivan Toney in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror. The Bees are said to be demanding at least £60million for the 27-year-old, who will be into the final 18 months of his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium when the winter window opens.
It is claimed that the north Londoners would likely have made a bid for the England international last summer, although his ongoing ban ruled out any transfer.
Son warning
Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has fired a warning to Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s highly-anticipated North London Derby. “[Arsenal] won’t want to face us at this time,” the South Korean international said, via The Times.
“Everyone is running for each other, everyone is fighting for each other. If someone comes off you give a hand off and everyone is happy to do that.
“That makes us really strong as a team.”
