Arsenal news and transfers LIVE: Mudryk £100m demand, Joao Felix loan, Youri Tielemans blow

Arsenal have had a £55million bid including add-ons for Mykhaylo Mudryk rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk. Shakhtar chief Carlo Nicolini has demanded a £100million fee, similar to what Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish in his British record transfer move.
Joao Felix has been offered the chance to stay at Atletico Madrid by Diego Simeone despite Jorge Mendes talking to Premier League clubs over a potential move for the Portuguese forward. Arsenal are thought to be keen on signing the 23-year-old on loan, but only if the finances involved in a deal come down significantly.
Youri Tielemans is set to be offered a fresh contract by Leicester City after Brendan Rodgers’ latest admission. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is said to have ‘changed his mind’ over a move to the Emirates Stadium after being linked with a switch to north London in the summer.
With that said, stay tuned as we bring you all the latest news from North London.
Shakhtar chief explains why Arsenal Mykhaylo Mudryk bid was rejected
Shakhtar Donetsk vice director Carlo Nicolini has explained why Arsenal’s £55million bid including add-ons for Mykhaylo Mudryk was rejected.
“€60million (£53million) it’s not enough to sign Mudryk. Our director said that we need a bid closer to the Jack Grealish fee (£100million) than Antony (£80million) to sell Mudryk”, Nicolini told calciomercatoit.
“We’re not even considering a bid with €40million (£35million) as fixed fee”.
Leicester prepare Youri Tielemans contract offer amid Arsenal agreement
Youri Tielemans’ future at Leicester City continues to draw speculation as the Belgian midfielder enters the final six months of his deal. Tielemans has been linked with a switch to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks with both teams in need of midfield reinforcements.
football.london reported in the summer the Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old but are willing to wait until next summer to sign Tielemans on a free transfer when his contract expires. Mikel Arteta is keen on adding new signings to his squad as Arsenal continue their Premier League title fight with Manchester City.
Brendan Rodgers has told BBC Radio Leicester reporter Owynn Palmer-Atkin that discussions with a number of players have begun on contract renewals ahead of their deals expiring in the summer.
Rodgers mentioned Tielemans, Evans, Amartey & Soyuncu as players who have been in discussions with the club. The longer Arsenal stall over a move for the Belgian, it could see him prefer to stay at the King Power Stadium instead.
