Arsenal given Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka contract boost with confidence on William Saliba

Arsenal are set to extend the contracts of Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka, football.london understands.
Ramsdale only joined in the summer of 2021, but has impressed many with his performances. The England international has three years remaining on his current deal, but the Gunners were keen to reward his displays with fresh terms more befitting of his status in the squad.
Saka, meanwhile, has announced himself as one of the best players in the Premier League since signing his last deal in 2020. The 21-year-old is understood to have already filmed some promotional material ahead of the deal. It is thought that it is a matter of when and not if the extension is confirmed.
Gunners247 understands that there is also confidence that a deal for William Saliba can be agreed. The French international will have just 12 months remaining on his current contract this summer after Arsenal triggered their option for an extension. Mikel Arteta is keen to keep the 22-year-old who had started every game in the Premier League this season before suffering a back injury in March.
“We want to keep our best talent,” Arteta told reporters last week. “Especially the players that deserve some recognition. I think he has been incredible since he came back from his loan period and we want to reward him, that is for sure. We will find the right moment to do that.
“Obviously Edu and the board are on top of every negotiation regarding new contracts and now we are doing everything we possibly can to do that in the right moment at the right time,” he said. “The communication and the relationship is super. It is about timing, I think. Nothing else.”
