Arsenal Boss to add another midfielder by selling Folarin Balogun

According to rumours, Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta may use the money generated from the sale of Folarin Balogun to buy a second defensive midfielder. Declan Rice moved to north London for a nine-figure transfer fee last month. Thus the Gunners have already spent a big sum to bring him there this summer.
ARSENAL LOOKING FORAWARD TO ADD A NEW MIDFIELDER AFTER SELLING BALOGUN
Defensive midfielder Thomas Partey performed admirably in the midfield last season. He will likely continue his excellent play this season. Thus he is another asset to Arsenal. Nevertheless, despite having a wide range of available alternatives in midfield, Arteta is still looking to add more players to the middle of the pitch, according to The Independent.
Arsenal is looking to add another deep-lying midfielder. However any deal would depend on whether Folarin Balogun would be sold. The 22-year-old has been widely rumoured with moves elsewhere in recent weeks. It’s interesting to note that Inter Milan is currently keen on signing him. Balogun is reportedly a target for a number of other teams, including AC Milan, Roma, and West Ham. Nevertheless, Monaco and Marseille are also in the hunt for his signature because of the fact that he appears to enjoy the idea of returning to France. According to the report, Arsenal values Balogun at more than £40 million. The sum might aid them significantly in their quest to sign a top-tier defensive midfielder before the transfer window shuts. A significant problem, though, would be the lack of players that Arteta is seeking for who are currently on the market for purchase.
MIKEL ARTETA STATES HIS AMBITIONS AHEAD OF NEXT SEASON
The Spaniard was asked about Arsenal’s transfer activity on Friday. Arsenal Boss was keen to emphasise the significance of closing deals quickly. This is because, in his opinion, fresh players frequently integrate more readily than late arrivals.
“I think it definitely helps, especially for the player and getting to the environment and getting set,” Arteta replies.
“Also, for the coaches it is important, for the media, for the commercial for the clubs as well, especially when you go on tour to be certain and have the players you are going to have for the season so it was something very positive for us. We’ve done it and we had the intention to do it. Sometimes it is possible, sometimes it is not. But we tried our best and we just have to focus on what we can do, the reasons we have done it and maximise the resources we have.”
