Bukayo Saka is set to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal and reject approaches from rivals, including Chelsea. The Blues monitored the 21-year-old attacker’s situation as their interest was well known. But Bukayo is keen to remain with Arsenal.

The Gunners are enjoying their best run of form in years, and the mood within the fanbase is just about right. Arsenal are top of the table and in the mix for the PL title with Man City. In the short term, they have to make a few decisions to boost the Emirates atmosphere.

 

Among those are the deal extensions of young stars. England international looks like an important player at the club. Alongside the forward, the Gunners also want to offer new deals to William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli, with the trio having an exceptional campaign so far.

England international recently recorded a brace against Liverpool to keep Arsenal top of the league. Bukayo’s current deal expires in 2024, with the Gunners holding an option for another campaign. In any case, Arsenal did not intend to sell the forward in the short term, particularly not to a direct rival.
