4-3-3 Arsenal’s predicted line up vs Brighton: Jorginho to keep Partey on the bench?

Published

on

Arsenal have played one game more than Manchester City but they are just one point behind the league leaders so on paper, Mikel Arteta’s side still have a chance to reclaim the top spot.

The Gunners, in their next game, will take on Brighton and Hove Albion and this one will be a really tricky affair for the North London side. They comfortably beat Newcastle United last weekend but the Seagulls have really improved under their new manager plus they have won two out of the three matches played against Arsenal.

Big Match Focus – Arsenal v Brighton

Arsenal need to win all of their remaining matches and hope that Manchester City slip up majorly but things are not looking bright for them at the moment.

William Saliba is not expected to play any further part this season and in his absence, it was Rob Holding who was playing alongside Gabriel.

However, Jakub Kiwior played in defence against Newcastle United and the Polish international had a very solid game. We think Mikel Arteta is going to stick with him this weekend as well.

Jorginho played in defensive midfield last weekend and to everyone’s surprise, he was the man of the match for Arsenal in that game. He ran the show for the full 90 minutes but we don’t think he is going to get another start.

Brighton are a team who play a crisp passing brand of football and in order to break their flow, Arsenal will need Thomas Partey marshalling the midfield.

Gabriel Jesus had another underwhelming game in Arsenal colours so he could be pushed to the bench because Leandro Trossard can very aptly as the centre-forward.

Apart from these two changes, we don’t think Mikel Arteta is going to make any unnecessary rotations to the starting line up that featured against Newcastle United.
