According to the most recent rumours, Arsenal is considering a deal for Florian Grillitsch of Hoffenheim this summer. The all-purpose midfielder from Austria will likely depart the Bundesliga team when his contract expires on June 30.

Prior to the 2022–23 season, Mikel Arteta is looking to expand his alternatives in the center of the field.

Thomas Partey, a Ghanaian international, was recently injured and the Arsenal have had trouble finding a replacement.

The Spanish head coach likes Florian’s flexibility because the player can also play center-half if necessary.

In response to a recent question about whether he anticipated a busy summer at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel responded, “I am anticipating so, yeah.

“I don’t believe [whether competition you qualify for] makes a lot of difference or changes a lot. I think both competitions [the Champions League and Europa League] demand a much larger squad since the quantity of games you play in both is much higher.

“If you ask me what I want, it would be 22 outfield players and three goalkeepers, provided you have the money to do so and we don’t need to make the same changes to the roster that we have.

“You have to come a long way in the aspects that you see on the pitch, it’s a lot of things that have to be put in place, and that takes time.”
